Juliet The Sun were recently contacted by Nicole Taylor to play at a very special charity event taking place in the New Year.

'B******s To Poverty' was an event created by Nicole and her family after their daughter, Beccy, was tragically killed in a road accident in 2008. To celebrate Beccy with her friends as well as raise funds for Action Aid, a charity in which Beccy was heavily involved, Nicole arranged for local venue The Roadmender to host an evening of music with over ten bands involved last January - Sam Duckworth from Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. Was the headlining act.
The end result was a phenomenal success with almost 1000 people attending and a huge £11,000 raised which went towards providing clean water in Sierra Leone to 1,200 children.

With seven bands already confirmed and Nicole in the process of securing more, B******s To Poverty II looks set to follow in its predecessors footsteps and Juliet The Sun are only too happy to help make it a night to remember.

"We feel really lucky to have been invited to play at B******s II. It's a fantastic cause and a great way for family and friends to remember and celebrate Beccy. Nicole's arranged a great line-up which will showcase lots of local talent - we're really looking forward to it and hope everyone gets involved!"

The amazing success of last year's event was down to everyone coming together so make sure you get your tickets soon and head down to The Roadmender from 6p.m on Saturday, January 2nd 2010 - what better way to kick off the New Year?!

Last week, Juliet The Sun joined legendary radio presenter, Sue Marchant on her BBC Radio show.

The band were the first to test out her brand new Studio with an acoustic set and interview giving Sue a tough job on her hands working out all the levels live On Air!

As well as discussing the band's upcoming 'Mystery Tour' (as she nicknamed it!) Sue quizzed the lads on their musical inspirations and tastes.

She asked "If you and I were going to go on a night out and see some live music, past or present, who would you take me to go and see?"

Rich chose to take Sue to see "someone random" in Northampton to promote and support the local music scene and "see what's going on", while Steve decided to go "a bit further afield" with some pure Rock n Roll from The Doors which Sue agreed with, with great enthusiasm! Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen were Lionel's choice as well as local band (and close companions!) The Snakeman 3.

As well as playing their debut single, Time For Heroes, Juliet The Sun members Lionel & Steve played acoustic versions of 'Shadows' and 'Mother' from their upcoming debut album. Sue ensured both performances were followed by a raucous applause by testing out some of her new sound-effect buttons!

Juliet the Sun had the privilege of playing the stage at the Cambridge Arts Theatre last month to raise money for Children In Need at the annual BBC East event. The guys played along side the likes of the Opera Babes, Jacqui Dankworth, Neil Innes and Ben Thapa all in support of the worthy cause. Lionel Williams, Lead Guitarist, said "it was amazing to play along side these very talented people. We were asked to open the show and played an acoustic set. The Sun - 17 September 2009

Juliet the Sun hit the headlines last month after England cricketer Jimmy Anderson revealed the Ashes winners' pre-match gee-up track Time For Heroes was sung by the British band.

But the high's of August have been quickly forgotten as the team fell to a dismal defeat in the one-day Test series this week.

Has the CD player broken or has the band's magic touch evapourated?

It may all be a little too late for England but the band have given us the exclusive of their new video.

Starring a transvestite and a string of superheroes it's a little odd.

But it's certainly worth checking it out.
